Nicknamed the "Sky Guards", A mobile radar Units currently operating the P-40(MI) Radar stationed in SWAC. The SU was raised on 4 April 1967 on the P-30M radar at Gorakhpur as GCI for 505 SU. The Units has moved many places - Rampurhat, Bareilly, Bihta, Ahmedabad, Baroda and came to Gandhinagar in Dec 1974. Subsequently moved in 1981 to Baroda, Khambhaliya, Naliya and Trivandrum before coming back to Gandhinagar in 1987
