2 Electronic Engineering and Installation UnitElectronic Engineering and Installation Unit as set up for the first time in October 1965 for a year to carry out the Star Sapphire implementation and was under the functional control of Dte of Sigs (air) and Admin control of AFND.It was located in the area of Sufderjang airfield. The role and task kept on increasing. And there were TWO EE&IUs for some years ( around 1973-81). GCA & some Nav/Comn aids were also installed and commissioned by these two units.
