799 Signal Unit Motto : Satatam Tatparah (Always Alert) Location : Kurseong Kurseong means 'the place of white orchids'. It is situated at an altitude of 1,460 metres above mean sea level, 51 km from Siliguri. Air Force Station Kurseong has been operational since July 1989. The Station is located at an altitude of 7,500 feet. The Units is spread over 73 acres of hilly terrain located on an open hill top.
