51/52 Course

51/52 Pilot Course - Cadets from 51 Pilot Course reported to ITW Coimbatore on 20 October 47. Cadets from 52 Pilot Course reported (date unknown). 51 Pilot Course was held up and both courses were combined at ITW and 128 cadets and completed initial ground training in May 1948. Subsequently, the course was sent to EFTS (Jodhpur on Tigermoth) for elementary flying which they completed in July 1949. For intermediate and Advanced flying they were sent to AFS(I) Ambala from August 1949 to 15 April 1950. On completion they recieved commission and Wings. Subsequently the course attended conversion training at CTS Ambala between May 1950 and December 1950.
