30 Pilot Course - 55 candidates reported to ITW Poona on 26 June 1944 and completed initial ground training on 28 Oct 1944. 45 of them were split equally and subsequently sent 1 EFTS (Secunderabad on Tigermoth) and 2 EFTS (Jodhpur on Cornell) from 13 Nov 44 to 31 Jan 45 for basic flying. 18 candidates completed the training. Those completing training from 1 EFTS (Secunderabad) were commissioned on reporting to 1 SFTS (Ambala on Harvard) for advanced flying on 26 Feb 1944. Attended 1 SFTS from 26 Feb 1945 to 29 June 1945. Subsequently the Course attened 43 Fighter Course at 151 OTU from 9 july 1945 to 21 oct 1945. For some of the course members, this was followed by 8 Spitfire Course at 151 OTU from 22 Oct 1945 to 8 Dec 1945. Those who went to 2 EFTS (Jodhpur) were commissioned with the 31 Pilot Course but were given seniority of 30 Pilot Course.
