248569 Junior Warrant Officer Dulal Chand Adhikari Workshop Fitter (B) is on the posted strength of a Repair and Servicing Unit since July 1994 and has been working as incharge of both Workshop and Ground Equipment Bay.

JWO DC Adhikari is an intelligent, sincere, disciplined and effective supervisor with high level of acumen. He has rich experience in BRDs and has been consistently performing the task assigned in a most professional and competent manner.

Due to acute shortage of carpenter tradesmen, JWO Adhikari mastered himself in glider repairs and has also taken keen interest in the structural repair of two types of trainer aircraft and helicopters. By his significant contribution the unit could also undertake major aircraft repair tasks resulting in significant savings of revenue for the IAF. He is also assigned with the additional task of maintenance of sports and welfare facilities at Air Force Station, Hakimpet and has been discharging this responsibility in an exceptional manner by working beyond the working hours.

During the salvage of a crashed Avro aircraft near Pamur village, Prakasham District, Andhra Pradesh, JWO DC Adhikari led the team from the front and motivated the people to execute the salvage operation within shortest possible time.

For his consistent devotion to duty, professional competence and distinguished service, the Hon'ble President is pleased to award 'Vishisht Seva Medal' to JWO DC Adhikari.
