Details : | During the operations against Pakistan in December, 1971, Squadron leader Charanjit Singh undertook a large number of missions over enemy territory and brought back very valuable information on enemy targets and dispositions which have greatly helped in the successful planning and execution of operations. With full knowledge of the dangers involved, he volunteered and undertook these missions cheerfully. In these missions, he penetrated deep into enemy territory fearlessly during day time.
