Details : | During the operation against Pakistan in December, 1971, Flight Lieutenant Konerirajapuram Srinivasan Raghavachari served with an operational Squadron in the Eastern Sector. He undertook a number of strike missions. His aircraft was hit on a number of occasions but he safely brought it back to base every time. Undaunted by heavy enemy ground fire, he pursued his missions and pressed home his attacks. He was responsible for destruction of enemy positions which included runways, bunkers, gun positions and troop concentrations. Throughout, Flight Lieutenant Konerirajapuram Srinivasan Raghavachari displayed courage, professional skill and devotion to duty. | |||
