| Details : | During the operations against Pakistan in December, 1971, Flight Lieutenant Prem Bhushan Kalra took part in six bombing missions. On every mission, he has been instrumental in spotting the source of ground fire and in taking effective counter measures. Though his aircraft was hit on three occasions, he continued with the mission. On the 15th December, 1971, he undertook a mission deep into the enemy territory. The fading light and poor visibility made navigated extremely difficult. He reached his target with pinpoint accuracy and bombed it devastatingly. Throughout, Flight Lieutenant Prem Bhushan Kalra displayed gallantry, professional skill and devotion to duty of a high order. | |||
