Wing Commander Subramanian Natarajan has been in command of a Movement Control Unit, since 14 Dec 81. His command and control of the unit, in rendering yeoman service to the IAF, in the field of logistics support, has been of an excellent order. His performance as Senior Logistics Officer in his earlier assignments, at three different stations, was of an outstanding order.

The Movement Control Unit is responsible for induction of sophisticated hardware and high priority requirements of logistics support for the operational preparedness of the IAF. Wg. Cdr. Natarajan has ably led his team of men to dedicated performance to ensure that outgoing and incoming consignments are cleared from the International Airlines and customs avoiding delays which might affect operational efficiency of the Air Force. Consignments containing such valuable items as computer hardware, a Jaguar simulator, equipment for the Indo-Soviet space project and the Antarctica expedition, were received without a single instance of damage or shortage.

For his excellent professional competence, positive outlook, dedication to duty and inspiring leadership, the President is pleased to award Vishisht Seva Medal to Wing Commander Subramanian Natarajan.
