Wing Commander Kasi Gopala Radhakrishnan was commissioned in April, 1953 in the erstwhile Technical Armament Branch of the Indian Air Force. After serving in a number of training units, operational wings and squadrons, he was taken on the staff of an Operational Command, and later at Air Headquarters. During recent Operation against Pakistan, Wing Commander Kasi Gopala Radhakrishnan was the Chief Technical Officer of an Air Force Base. It was because of his personal supervision, hard work and unremitting effort, as well as his professional skill, that the aircraft of the Base were maintained in a high state of operational readiness. During the hostilities, a number of damaged aircraft were repaired in record time, frequently overnight, so that they were available for operations the next day. Throughout, Wing Commander Kasi Gopala Radhakrishnan has rendered distinguished service of an exceptional order. |
