Captain (Wing Commander) B.L.Shelar passed away peacefully on 14th of March,2014.. He had an illustrious flying career - many of the ex-Air Force Officers in Air India were trained by him on DC3s and C119Gs. He had flown extensively covering NEFA, J&K and Ladakh. He was on active service during Indo- China and Pakistan wars. He was commanding Paratroopers training school at Agra when he was sent on deputation to Air India. He held a fine record as a commander on B707. His body, according to his wishes, was donated for medical research. Rest in eternal peace... |
