Group Captain Kenneth Hubert Larkins (3511) was commissioned as a pilot in the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force in September, 1948. During his long and distinguished career he has held a variety of important appointments, including the Command of a Flying Training Unit and a Base Repair Depot. He has also held staff appointments at Air Headquarters. Recently he has completed a tenure as the Staff Officerin charge Administration at an Operational Command Headquarters. In all these appointments, Group Captain Larkins has displayed outstanding ability as an organizer and leader. As the Staff Officer in-charge Administration he geared up the administration of the Command to keep pace with operational requirements. He contributed greatly towards the completion of a number of major works and prompt finalization of pension cases. He showed great acumen and maturity in handling cases of discipline and personnel matters, and in raising the morale of the personnel of the Command. Throughout his career Group Captain Kenneth Hubert Larkins has worked with determination and untiring energy, with tact and understanding, and has achieved outstanding success in the discharge of heavy responsibilities.
