He was from village Baghdada, District Mardan, North West Frontier Province of India (now Pakistan). He was the son of Atta Mohammad Khan, who served on the Guide (Military Force). His brother Ghulam Sarwar Khan (26), (yet a cadet) died in Mahmand Operation (war between Mahmand Tribe and British Army) in 1935. My father Amir Mohammad Khan was a political activist with Ghandi Ji Congress. He was 15 or 17 years when become a political prisoner fighting for independence of India. After Pakistan was created, the Congress in North Frontier Province for independence from Pakistan that was brutally crashed to the dictators. I always found my father imprisoned for his political activities. (via Shahriyar Khan, Edmonton, Canada)
