he served in WW2 in Burma and that he flew supply aircraft to the ground troops. He was from an important Sikh family, his great Grandfather being Sir Baba Khem Singh Bedi KCIE CIE and therefore descended from the first Sikh Guru Nanak. He did have medals, known that from a letter from the City of Westminster upon his death but they were not found do not now what they were.His brother was Manmohan Singh Bedi - retired in 1970s as Indian Army General.
