Details : Group Captain Sanjay Kumar Srivastava (19128) was commissioned in the Indian Air Force as an engineer in the Aeronautical Engineering branch on 07 Sep 1987. He has held the appointments of CO Air Force liaison Establishment (AFLE Lucknow), STO of Jaguar Squadron and Radar Units, Chief of Production at 15 BRD, Directing Staff at Air Force Technical College and Director at Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA) Lucknow. He has undergone Jaguar, PSM-33 Radar, EW, QAS courses and M Tech (Mechanical) from IAT, Pune. He is an extremely efficient, motivated and dedicated officer who has displayed tremendous tenacity to work with an absolute professional approach exploiting his sound aircraft and Radar knowledge with versatile experience. As CO AFLE during 2010-12, he gave flip to the task execution towards effective techno-Iogistics support to 11 different types of aircraft fleets including implementation of reclamation schemes, Mods and life extensions to meet critical requirements of IAF. His professional acumen facilitated award of best Fighter Squadron to 27 Sqn (Jaguar) in 2005 and best AFLE in 2010. At 15 BRD, he was instrumental in setting up a Radar repair lab in 2002. As Directing staff at AFTC, he introduced Space Technology and set up Avionics Development Facility. For his distinguished accomplishments, he has been commended by Chief of the AirStaff in the year 2012, by AOC-in-C, TC in 2008 and by AOC-in-C, MC in 2002. In his current assignment as Commanding Officer of Project Management Group, AF, he has effectively executed 10 vital induction projects of system range of equipment worth about Rs 9000 crore along with the daunting task of developing the infrastructure at AF Station, Dadri. His focused and systematic approach together with excellent co-ordination with multiple formations has provided desired impetus to the induction program. His unstinted efforts have facilitated induction of seven MPR, nine Rohin(, six SRE, five HRDF and eight FATs of LLTR in last one year. Under his leadership, PMG undertook the challenging task of installation of MPRs on Tower at Agra, on single sided ramp at Bagdogra and operationalised SRE at Carnic after a delay of five years. In addition, by effective pursuance with ELTA he ensured up-gradation of Antenna Drive System, modification of HMI and IACCS integration in MPR He successfully resolved critical contractual issues of LLTR The officer has put in exceptional efforts and effectively directed all activities covering very large span of control. In a short span of one year, he has transformed the AF Stn Dadri in to a model station with conducive working environment and all welfare facilities for the troops. The morale of officers and air warriors placed below him has been exemplary, which speaks volume of his abilities as a commander, leader and human being. For the distinguished service of high order, Hon'ble President is pleased to award Vishisht Seva Medal to Group Captain Sanjay Kumar Srivastava.
