Details : Wing Commander Cherukuri Venkata Ranga Rama Sudhir (18531) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) was commissioned in the Indian Air Force on 17 Aug 1985 and has been on the posted strength of Directorate of Air Staff Inspection wef 08 May 2006. Wg Cdr Sudhir is qualified on Su-30 and MiG-21aircraft. He was part of the initial core group that was trained abroad on Su-30 aircraft. In addition to his Bachelor's degree in Engineering, he has done Aerospace Quality and Management Course in 1995. The professional record of the officer is immaculate. The induction of the SU-30 fleet at AF Stn Bareilly in the year 2004 and participation in Ex-Garuda in France was successfully achieved due to his meticulous planning, involvement and foresight as Squadron Commander, Aircraft Technical Squadron. The officer was actively involved in preparation of maintenance checklist for Air Force exercise Gaganshakti held in 2006. During the inspections of various units, he makes it a point to utilize his professional expertise in educating the officers and technicians in the field. He was instrumental in preparing guidelines for Command Level - II inspection. In 2007, he has single handedly performed the mammoth task of coordination and compilation of data for the best flying station in a most professional manner. He has rendered many recommendations, which have been factored in the inspection planning process. Based on the organizational focus areas, he has brought out practical changes in the maintenance assessment to make it more effective. With his wide-ranging experience, the officer has proved himself to be an asset to the directorate. For his outstanding achievements, invaluable contributions to the service and distinguished service of high order, Hon'ble President is pleased to award 'Vishisht Seva Medal' to Wing Commander Cherukuri Venkata Ranga Rama Sudhir.
