Details : | Group Captain Prabhakar Raghav (15334) Administration was commissioned in the IAF on 08 Jun 1978. In his career spanning 30 years, he has earned various laurels. As a Pilot Officer, he was the youngest officer in ATC to get Category B. While in ATC, he was commended with a Flight Safety good show in assisting an aircraft in bad weather using VHF DfF in 1982. Subsequently, during his tenure at No. 1 Air Force Selection Board in 2004, he was assessed as first Cat A assessor. For his service of high order, he was commended by the VCAS in 1994 and by the CAS in 2001. Air Force Station, Gorakhpur was declared as the "Pride of CAC" during his tenure as C Adm 0 in 2005-2006. Prior to his posting to this base he completed the Higher Defence Management Course qualifying for Masters in Management Sciences degree from Osmania University with a first class and distinction. He has been functioning as the Chief Administrative Officer of Air Force Station, Jodhpur since 14 Apr 07. He has performed with utmost sincerity and professionalism. He has been instrumental in the task of providing administrative control and support to 44 lodger units and looking after a population of approximately 12,000 personnel including families. Under his leadership and able guidance, the full team of Admin Support Group is working on principles of transparency in administration and striving for 100 % customer satisfaction. He was responsible for flawless conduct of important conferences like Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) Seminar and visits by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence, German and Royal Air Force. For the first time, AF Station Jodhpur was selected to host 13th International Indo-US Executive Steering Group (ESG) meeting. Gp Capt Raghav involved himself to the minutest details of this ESG meeting which resulted in a grand success. Being the largest Air Force Station of the IAF with a large number of lodger units, foresight and vision were essential in planning of various work services for modernization and upgradation of assets at this base. Gp Capt Raghav efficiently tackled the task of identifying the key areas for planning of major work services to the tune of Rs. 10898.41 lakhs and ensured successful completion of the works to the tune of Rs. 3617.61 lakhs during the financial year. With his experience of counter intelligence and security matters, he was able to elicit information from an Airman, who was involved in sabotage of SU-30 aircraft. Through his leadership, knowledge and hard work he provided a motivating inter-disciplinary influence on operations, maintenance and administrative environment to the Station.
