Details : | Wg Cdr Vinod Agnihotri (13360) Medical was commissioned in the Medical branch of the Indian Air Force on 22 Mar 73 and has been posted to Air Force Station New Delhi as Staff Surgeon to the Chief of Air Staff since May 92. During his service the officer has held several important appointments at major Stations and Hospitals. The officer completed his post-graduation in Medicine with distinction. Ever since, he has served as a Medical Specialist at various hospitals including Command Hospital Bangalore and at Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME). At AFCME, he was actively associated in bringing up the department of Noniuvariye cardiology to international standards. He has also carried out projects on angiography in asymptomatic aircrew, 24 hours ECG monitoring in aircrew and lipid disorders in Air Force personnel. Because of his exceptionally high standard of performance Wg Cdr Vinod Agnihotri was specially selected to be the Staff Surgeon to the CAS. During this period, he also attended to large number of cases of ischemic heart disease at the Station Sick Quarters. By his timely action he has been instrumental in ensuring prompt cardiac care thereby saving many valuable lives. In fact he is the most dedicated and sought after specialist, who carries out his professional duties with a missionary zeal. He has consistently maintained an ideal doctor-patient relationship. For distinguished service of high order the President is pleased to award 'Vishisht Seva Medal' to Wg Cdr Vinod Agnihotri. | |||
