GEORGE CROSS
The George Cross (GC) is awarded to officers and enlisted personnel of all military branches, as well as to civilians, for an act of the greatest heroism or of the most conspicuous courage in circumstances of extreme danger. It may be awarded posthumously. The following list of 'Indian' GC awardees is incomplete and additional citations will be featured as and when they are found.
