The Kargil War, 1999

Size: 66 items

The Indian Army proved in Kargil that the regimental colours its Jawans carry are still a matter of honour. Most of all, the Jawans have learnt that after all was said and done, honour in battle meant standing one's ground and fighting - even to the last man if necessary. Jai Hind!! Jai Jawan!!

The Photographs in this section have been replicated from various Magazines. Credit should go to the Photographers who were on the frontline. In no particular order - their names are recorded as follows : Sharad Saxena, Prashant Panjiar, Jitender Gupta, Dilip Bannerjee, Pramod Pushkarna, T Narayan, Capt Dipak Das, Basudev Moitra and many others.
