Sui gas plant hit and damaged
Entire Railway network in Pakistan paralysed under the Indian Air Force's aerial assault on Pakistan's Transport Network.

DEC 14 : WESTERN SECTOR: The Strategic Sui Gas plant in Sind, West Pakistan has been attacked today by IAF aircraft and critical damage had been done to the facility.

The gas plant , a 500 Crore project is an important source of power and energy for Pakistan, and its taking out today is another feather in the IAF's Cap. This also underlines the IAF 's effort in targetting the Industrial Infrastructure backbone of Pakistan by the IAF.

The attack was carried out by none other than the An-12 transports of No.44 Sqn, to whose pilots we had spoken to and written about just yesterday. Mounted by dusk, the attack was undertaken by three An-12s. The staging airfield was Jodhpur and the aircraft refuelled here before crossing over into Pakistan at low level in the darkness of dusk/night. At the target, One aircraft hit the main plant, while another hit the Storage tank. The last aircraft dropped its bombload in the same area.

The aircraft then flew low level back into Indian airspace upto Uttarlai airbase. Then they pulled up to proceed to Jodhpur. After rest/refuelling the aircraft had made their way back to Barielly. Recce sorties and Intelligence information indicate that the plant may be out of action for atleast six months to an year.

Anti Railway Operations

Meanwhile in other operations in West Pakistan, the IAF had laid to waste most of the Country's transportation network by attacking and destroying the railway lines, marshalling yards, Goods carrying trains and other rolling stock.

The railways of Pakistan , starting from Sukkur, upto Siakot runs practically parallel to our border and is very easy to locate and interdict.

Our aircraft have intercepted several tank carrying trains in the recent days and destroyed them. Hardly any traffic is being moved between the two places or at Montgomery, lahore or Wazirabad.

No aircraft were lost today or yesterday to these interdiction missions.  Sporadic AA fire was encountered at the Railway yards but it was generally ineffective.
